The Paloma

If the Margarita is king of tequila-based cocktails, consider the Paloma our queen. This effervescent cocktail is Mexico’s drink of choice, and it just might be ours too. The surprising combination of grapefruit, pomegranate, and honey make for a sweet yet tart base for the tequila, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a concoction along 30A that’s as easy to drink as this one. The tastiest Paloma on this side of the Gulf of Mexico can be found at Seagrove’s most beloved restaurant, Café 30A. Whether you’re at the bar for a nightcap or enjoying the famous BOGO from 5–6 p.m., the Paloma may just become your new go-to drink.

The Lancho

As you make your way up the winding boardwalk after a long, soul-cleansing day in Grayton Beach, there’s no sweeter sound than the music wafting from Hotz Avenue’s hottest beach restaurant and bar, luring you in for a thirst-quenching cocktail and a bite to eat. “Simple, fresh and fun” is Chiringo’s tagline, and we think it’s a spot-on description for its signature drink, too. The Lancho’s cool, cucumber base combined with the zing of a lemon set the tone for a light and refreshing vodka libation. It pairs perfectly with their famous fish tacos. We dare you to drink just one.

The Old-Fashioned

Invented in Louisville and perfected along 30A, the Old-Fashioned cocktail found at The Perfect Pig in Gulf Place is simple, delectable, and just as much of a staple as their potato parmesan-crusted Grouper. Our favorite bourbon-based drink is the ideal combination of sweet and strong, and it’s a welcome, cozy break from the Coronas and rum drinks that are sure to dominate your beach vacation. We love to sip it slowly and sway to the live music in The Perfect Pig’s bar, always saving that cherry for last.
