What stable is this experience offered through?
360 Blue Experiences partnered with Arnett’s Gulfside Stables, a horse ranch, located in Blue Mountain Beach that is less than half a mile away from the Gulf of Mexico.
What is the age minimum to participate?
You must be 6 years of age or older to ride a horse. There are no exceptions.
What if my child is under age 6?
Due to insurance, we cannot make any exceptions to the age limit. However, children under age 6 and their parents are more than welcome to visit the stables, see the horses and meet the trail bosses.
My child is 6 or 7 years old or is very small for their age. Are they still allowed on a horse?
Yes, your child is absolutely allowed on a horse. However, any child who is age 6 or 7 years old or any small child who may not be able to control their horse well, is required to be ponied.
What does “ponied” mean?
Ponied means that the child is on their own horse, but attached to an adult rider by a lead rope so the child’s horse can be controlled. This does not mean the child is on a pony. There are no ponies kept on the premises.
I have never been on a horse, can I still ride?
Yes, absolutely! All of the horses at the stables are trained and beginner friendly. 85% of Arnett’s Gulfside Trail’s riders are first time riders and the trail ride is one in which the horses are only walking. There is no galloping, trotting or cantering.
How long is the trail ride?
The trail ride is 1 hour long.
What state park does this experience take place in?
Participants will horseback ride through Point Washington State Park, one of Northwest Florida’s state parks, that encompasses around 15,000 acres and is home to several miles of trails.
What meals are included?
A Southern BBQ lunch is provided.
What does each meal consist of?
Lunch consists of a traditional BBQ style meal: similar to pulled pork or chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, water and tea.
What I should bring/wear?
We recommend bringing sunglasses or a hat and sunscreen and wearing closed toed shoes and long pants or jeans.
