Set upon a raised platform, the cottage welcomes guests through a private, wrap-around deck with new lounge furniture and a glass, four-seat patio table. Sip coffee in the morning to the sound of herons and piping plovers, or fire up the propane grill for dinners with spectacular sunsets. After a day on the water, take advantage of an enclosed outdoor shower, located on the side of the home.

As you enter, a cheerful kitchen area and living room greet you, married by an open floor plan with light streaming through picture windows. In the living area, a comfy sectional sofa faces a hardwood coffee table and flat-screen TV, offering ample space to lounge. The updated kitchen features all-new appliances, a stainless steel sink, four-seat dining table and granite prep counter, re-purposed from a hardwood dresser. The cottage features hand-crafted, whimsical light fixtures throughout, each created from a re-purposed object.

Through a short hallway are two bedrooms, both styled in nautical decor with vintage artwork. The primary has a queen-sized bed, twin nightstands and space to hang clothes. The second bedroom has a full over full bunk bed, a large picture window, and a washer and dryer -- the ultimate convenience for families.

A full bath lies just outside the bedrooms, featuring tiled floors, a hardwood sink, and spacious, walk-in shower. Throughout the home, you’ll enjoy air conditioning and heating, new hardwood floors and new paint, creating a cheerful ambiance with modern comforts.

Outside, you’ll find the tranquil atmosphere of the bay, with St. Joseph steps from your door, easily accessible from a community boardwalk. Stroll along the beach in search of starfish and sea grass, spend a lazy afternoon kayaking on the bay’s tranquil waters, or watch spectacular sunsets over the water from the comfort of your West-facing deck. Within a short drive are wildlife preserves, birdwatching sites, and national forests, allowing you to explore the varied, natural beauty of Cape San Blas.
