If the margarita is king of tequila-based cocktails, consider the Paloma, our queen. This effervescent cocktail is Mexico’s drink of choice—and it just might be ours, too. The surprising combination of grapefruit, pomegranate, and honey make for a sweet, yet tart base for the tequila. You’d be hard-pressed to find a concoction along 30A that’s as easy to drink as this one! (Although, the Paloma at Café 30A might come pretty close).
Whether you’re enjoying the famous drink for happy hour or over lunch with fresh grouper tacos, the Paloma might just become your new go-to drink.
- 2 oz of your favorite tequila (We love Casamigos Blanco!)
- 2 oz of grapefruit juice
- 2 oz of pomegranate juice
- 2 tsp of honey
- 2 oz of club soda
- 1 wedge of grapefruit
- 1 sprig of rosemary
Rub the rim of a highball glass with grapefruit and coat with salt. Combine equal parts of tequila, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice, and honey into the glass and stir. Add ice and top with club soda to taste. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and enjoy!
