Scallop Cove #1 is a pet-friendly two bedroom cottage on St. Joe's Bay with deeded beach and bay access, screened in porch, dock, and large yard!
This home is situated on beautiful St. Joe Bay with an amazing view! This home has two bedrooms with one king bed and a twin over queen in the bunk room. The cottage is just steps from one of the best bait and tackle shops on the Cape who will be happy to share all the secrets on how to catch local fish.
Your reservation includes $250 worth of beach gear. That’s right! Rent a beach wagon, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, and more for your stay. Your $250 credit will go a long way!

The house was great - it was clean and had everything we needed. The location was by far the best feature of this home. It’s literally right next to the general store (one of very few on CSB) so we stopped in regularly and got everything we need. There was also a private beach access and it was just across the street. Very convenient! We also loved the beach gear credit - we got bikes, an umbrella and chairs. Overall, we had a great trip and would definitely rent find place again!

This location did not disappoint. Easy access to the water with the private dock was everything. Located near great restaurants and just behind the bait and tackle shop/gas station was the convenience we needed with this trip. There were multiple ice cream trips made by our kids, along with cheap kayak rentals to keep them entertained! The villa had everything our family needed. There was more than enough towels provided, the in house washer and dryer worked great, and the beds were comfortable.
The only complaint we had was the air conditioner never got below 76 during our stay, regardless of what it was set to. But… with the Florida heat, that 76 felt a million times better than outside!!
We will definitely be back annually for a family fishing vacation, and the Scallop Cove Villas will be our home away from home.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was very nice, however it was difficult due to not having anywhere to hangout clothes. Not all clothes can be folded and put in a drawer. There is plenty of room in the rental to have a place to hang clothes. The door coder was difficult to use at times. Worked nost the time, ut 2 different times I had issues to try unlock it to get inside. I think everything else was good with the rental

Great place! Would definitely do it again. The dock access was gorgeous and I can’t say enough positive things about Cape San Blas! Definitely check out the Raw Bar.
Like the other reviewers said there are some bugs around sun set but they go away. The bedrooms are a little bright at night because of the light out back… and there’s a curiously small supply of basic household goods like trash bags, toilet paper and dish soap. But honestly nothing that can’t be overcome. It was truly a wonderful little place! I completely recommend it!

Our family loved this cute little Bay-view cottage. The beach access was directly across the street, and very convenient. We loved sitting on the deck at night and stargazing and feeding the fish and crabs from the dock on the Bay. The home was comfortable and we had plenty of space to relax. It was close to local restaurants and a great seafood market. Highly recommend vacationing in Cape San Blas. It was wonderful!

Nice area to stay in, the backyard is great for dogs and the dock was nice to have if you like fishing or kayaking. I would recommend bringing repellent for biting flies, they come out at night and in the morning, but that's something any place has. The host was very responsive and helpful, and we enjoyed our week long stay here.

A super cute place to stay on the bay! This was a perfect spot for a weeklong getaway. It’s close to the general store, which is nice if you need to pick up any basic supplies. We even got coffee and breakfast sandwiches there several mornings. The grassy field in front of the house is great if you have a dog, and you get beautiful views of the sunrise over the bay. There’s even a small dock where you could launch kayaks. The walkway to beach access was in disrepair, and I think it would be difficult to use if you had a wagon, but was fine for walking. Overall, a great spot!

I visited the home in August. It was in a great location. Loved being able to bring our dogs. Grass was good for the dogs, and we enjoyed both the bay and ocean. Ocean was literally steps away. Only suggestion would be to treat the grass for mosquitoes. They were bearable during sunlight but very bad when the sun was down. We will be back. Loved that the beach was so close and no packed at all!

My friends and I stayed in this perfect little cottage for almost a week and we couldn’t have been any happier with our stay!! From waking up in the morning with a beautiful bay view to being just steps away from the beach, we absolutely loved this location. Plenty of great restaurants nearby to choose from. It was clean, had cute decorations, AND allowed dogs! The only bad thing about my stay was that I had to leave...but I will be coming back!!

For example, the closet in the main bedroom was locked with padlock & I understand the owners need a place to store things, but that left no place to hang clothes for that bedroom, nor did they have any clothes hangers. Not only until the end of the trip did I realize the slender, small cabinet in the other room had a few hangers and a place to hang clothes, but it was very tiny & if we had other guests, we could not all share that small cabinet. I also thought they should have more hooks throughout the house to hang items. There were 3 in the bathroom for towels and such, but we ended up using those for the leashes, & miscellaneous items you hang. Also, there are NO curtains, blinds, or window coverings for the majority of the house. So ...

Thank you for the thoughtful review. We do agree that the home is a great value and the views are amazing. Also, being able to have your fur-babies with you is another added benefit. Thank you for your insight on the various things like window coverings and closet space. Beautiful Cottage nestled between the Bay and the Gulf. Very clean and lovely decor. A great place to go for peace. Kitchen set up nicely for those of us who like to cook. I WILL return!!

We absolutely love this place! With the gorgeous view of the bay out front and the beautiful beach across the street it is the perfect location. We were able to fish right off the dock and they had a filleting station right there. We visited for my birthday back in March of this year and it was by far one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations we have been on. We also loved that it is dog friendly, very spacious, and very clean!It is the perfect getaway beach house. We are already planning on going back next year and would recommend this place to anyone!

Just got home from a week long vacation at this beach cottage. It's truly perfect. It's not only steps from the beach but steps from the bay. Best of both worlds.
Clean and bright, we wanted for nothing in this well stocked beach home.
Responsive owners, pet friendly and a perfect location for a family/couple wanting a beach getaway in a unique town!
